- Text on poster: "Shall These Men Tell You What To Do? George Baldanzi of New York, on the right, is vice-president of the TWUA (CIO) and is vice-chairman of the drive in Southern Textile mills. On the left is a man called SMITH (probably Smithkowlski) of San Francisco, California, who is the big shot chairman of the drive in the State of North Carolina. Look at them... take a good look, employees of the Eastman mill... do you think they want to help you, and YOU? Can't You Just See Yourself Crushed Under the Thumbs of These Fellows if You Vote C.I.O.? Let's Vote 'Em Out of Eastman, Ga." Descriptive text: "'We Shall Fight Horror With Horror' Georgia Klan Dragon Sam Green said of CIO's 'Operation dixie.' Virtually all of Eastman law enforcement personnel were Klan members." Stetson Kennedy (1916-2011), writer and civil rights activist, collected these photographs during the course of his career fighting for equality throughout the Southern United States.
